Welcome to an
INTRODUCTION & THE AIMS
of the Air Training Corps

The Air Training Corps is a voluntary youth organisation, and is supported by the Royal Air Force. The ATC has an outstanding record of investment in young people from all social and ethnic backgrounds provides a structured programme of activities and training opportunities designed to achieve the following broad aims, which were laid down by Royal Warrant in 1941:

•  To promote and encourage among young people a practical interest in aviation, the Royal Air Force and the other Services.

•  To provide training which will be useful in the Services and civilian life.

•  To foster the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership as well as good citizenship.
